MR. PLATTE is one of the founding members of the Firm. He is an experienced real estate and corporate attorney who provides strategic guidance to established and startup companies and a wide array of legal services involving organizing and structuring entities, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, employment agreements, partnership and shareholder agreements and general corporate counseling. His practice is broad based, with a particular specialization representing small businesses and landlords and tenants in lease transactions.
Mr. Platte’s has substantial expertise in all areas of real estate law including sales and acquisitions, leasing, commercial and residential landlord-tenant, institutional and private lending, real estate development, and real estate litigation. His experience includes the negotiation, preparation, review and revision of documents, instruments and agreements in connection with the acquisition, sale, development, leasing and financing of commercial, industrial, hotel, casino and residential real estate, and negotiation and completion of numerous and complex shopping center leases, restaurant leases, retail store leases, office leases and residential leases for both tenants and landlords in the New York Metropolitan Area and across the country.
A trusted advisor to small businesses, Mr. Platte serves as outside general counsel and provides ongoing day-to-day representation to private enterprises of all sizes and across various industries, including prominent national retail chains, real estate brokerage and development companies, construction companies, advertising and media agencies, restaurants, and family-owned businesses. For the past 20 years, he has also served as outside counsel to an approved Small Business Administration lender and one of the premier providers of business services and financial products to small and medium-sized businesses throughout the United States.
Mr. Platte received his Juris Doctor from the Boston University School of Law and his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Binghamton University School of Management.
